What is Exercise Physiology?

When should I consult an Exercise Physiologist?  How is Exercise Physiology different from Physiotherapy?

An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a university-trained health professional who has studied for 4-5 years. Exercise Physiologists specialise in exercise prescription to help with, rehabilitate or prevent injury and chronic disease. Exercise Physiologists offer strength and conditioning, mobility, motor skills and balance programs as well as implementing education and behaviour change techniques. An EP can help people at home, work, school as well as in the clinic at at home.
Exercise Physiologists provide 1-on-1 and small group consultations. Prescriptions are individualised in all settings. Anyone can choose to see an EP. You are welcome to phone 9737 6665 or book online at exercisethought.com. EPs are registered with Medicare and can offer private health rebates. Exercise Physiology is also available via:
