Sam loves physiotherapy and aspires to become the world’s best physio.

At the time of writing, Sam holds two physiotherapy degrees and was awarded the position of APA-Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (placing him in the top 8% of Australian physiotherapists).

Sam obtained his first physiotherapy degree from Monash University where he wrote an Honours thesis on use of exercise for treating tendon pain. Sam’s second degree included research on the effect of a physiotherapist’s words and language on pain and performance.

Sam is a clinical educator for several Australian universities including honorary positions at Swinburne University of Technology and The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. This includes supervising student research.

Sam served as the Vice-President of two councils for the Australian Physiotherapy Association (the Victorian Council and the Victorian Business Council) and as President of the Victorian Student Council.

In the formative years of his career, Sam assisted the medical team at the Western Bulldogs Football Club (including the 2016 triple-premiership year).

Outside of physiotherapy, Sam enjoys long hikes with his wife. Sam also volunteered as a rescue swimmer with the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service for six summers and toured Russia (twice) as a humanitarian clown visiting hospitals, orphanages & schools with Dr. Patch Adams and people from 30 countries.

Titled membership - 2021

Sam has a new piece of paper! The Australian Physiotherapy Association bestowed Sam with the award of “Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy” and welcomed him into the Royal Australian College of Physiotherapists. Only 8% of Australian physiotherapists have “Titling.”

M.Physio (Musculoskeletal -2020)

In 2020, Sam completed postgraduate studies that place him in the top 8% of Australian physiotherapists. Sam’s minor thesis in this postgraduate degree studies the effect that a physiotherapist’s words have on a person’s pain and performance.

B.Physio(Hon) PGCert - 2014

Sam obtained his undergraduate physiotherapy degree at Monash University and wrote an Honour thesis on use of isometric exercise for treating tendon pain.
