What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a physical treatment that focuses on the science of movement to help clients restore, maintain and maximise their physical strength, function, motion and overall wellbeing.  Through patient centred care Physiotherapists diagnose, plan and manage a variety of health issues through movement, manual therapy, education and advice. 

About Ringwood

Ringwood is 23 km east of Melbourne's CBD. and is part of the Local Government Area of the City of Maroondah. At the 2016 Census, Ringwood had a population of 17,471. Ringwood has many parks reserves, most notably, Ringwood Lake.  

Sport in Ringwood

Ringwood has three AFL teams - two competing in the Eastern Football League (EFL). The first is the Norwood Norsemen,, whose home ground is Mullum Reserve. The second team is the Ringwood Redbacks who play at Jubilee Park. The third team is the Ringwood Jets who play in the SFL. Their home ground is at Aquinas College.

Ringwood is also the home to Ringwood City Soccer Club. Founded in 1953, the club became the Victorian State League champions in 1959. The club is based at the Ringwood City Soccer Complex located at Jubilee Park.

Ringwood is also home to the Ringwood Hawks Basketball Club. The Hawks have been a very successful team throughout its history in both senior and junior competitions. The club plays out of the Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre.

Exercise Thought welcome players from all these clubs and many more to our clinic in Ringwood which is located within Genesis Fitness Ringwood Here we are able to provide a variety of services including physiotherapy treatment, hydrotherapy in the heated indoor pool and small group classes utilising state-of-the-art equipment.

AquaNation in Ringwood also boasts a warm-water pool and Exercise Thought is happy to offer Aqua-based Physiotherapy services at this location.
